Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the excess acid-pickling of a metallic material developed at the time of stopping the conveying by adjusting gas exhausting quantity of the atmosphere in each acid-pickling vessel in holding upward the material from acid solution at the time of stopping the conveying.
SOLUTION: The metallic material 6 of a steel strip, etc., passes through warm water 21 in an inlet side warm water vessel 2 to raise the temp. thereof. Successively, the metallic material passes through the acid solution 20 in the acid-pickling vessels #1 la-#6 1f to remove scale on the surface. The acid solution 20 is washed with a spraying device 4 and the outlet side warm water vessel 3, and the moisture is removed with a drying device 5. At the time of stopping the conveying, the metallic material 6 of the steel strip, etc., is held upward from the acid solution 20 with a lifter 22. Gas exhausting flow rate adjusting valves 8a-8i in the exhaust ducts 7a-7i arranged to each vessel are adjusted so that the exhaust gas quantity at the outlet side of the acid-pickling device is made larger than that at the inlet side thereof. The dropping of the acid solution 20 bedewed on the upper covers of the acid-pickling vessels #1 1a-#6 1f is prevented and the excess acid pickling phenomenon is reduced.
