Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a large amount of adventitious embryos in a short time and enable practical use for artificial seeds by controlling a dissolved oxygen concentration to a specific value and culture medium pH to a specific value, and cultivating plant cultivation cells with high density.
SOLUTION: The dissolved oxygen concentration is controlled to at least 15% and left as it is until the pH of a culture medium reaches 3.8-4.2 after the cultivation is started; when this pH is reached, the pH of the culture medium is controlled to 4.5-5.0 and the high-density cultivation of plant cultivation cells such as carrot cells is performed to produce a large amount of adventitious embryos from the plant cultivation cells. Further, a process which replaces the culture medium is preferably included.
