To provide a method for mass-producing a dried powder having good quality of a plant leaf such as a carrot leaf.
(1) The method for mass-producing the dried powder of the plant leaf comprises heated-air drying of an object to be dried (a raw material leaf) until the final high temperature is reached while repeating a cycle of raising temperature to a low intermediate temperature, exhausting a gas and reducing the temperature without suddenly heating the object to be dried (the raw material leaf) to a high temperature. (2) The method comprises introducing a primary drying stage with natural draft as a former stage of the cycle of raising the temperature-exhausting the gas and reducing the temperature. The primary drying stage functions as a temporary preserving part after completing the primary drying. Thereby, (1) the quality of the dried product can be stabilized and improved and (2) the process time of the heated-air drying stage can remarkably be shortened to remarkably increase the throughput, and excessive raw material leaf can effectively be preserved and used for mass production. (3) A way for wide application of the resultant effective dried powder with good quality to deodorizing, antimicrobial and other hygienic purposes is developed.
