Title:
METHOD FOR MEASURING AMOUNT OF CONNECTED WATER IN INORGANIC HYDRAULIC SUBSTANCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11194125
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To rapidly measure an amount of connected water of inorganic hydraulic substance, by measuring mass of an inorganic hydraulic substance in air and an apparent mass in water, and obtaining the masses and density of the inorganic hydraulic substance and volume shrinkage rate of water when being chemically connected to the inorganic hydraulic substance.

A mass of a sample 8 in air and an apparent mass in water are measured by a solid density measuring device 1. In a solid density measuring device 1, an electronic balance 2 is arranged at a trestle 4, thus measuring the mass of the sample 8 with the electronic balance 2. When the apparent mass in water of the sample 8 is to be measured, the sample 8 is loaded into a sample container 7, water 10 is filled to a water-pouring height 9 of a water bath 5 so that the sample container 7 itself is filled with water 10 before being suspended by a suspension rod 3 via a cage 6. The volume of water connected to cement is chemically shrunk due to the hydration reaction of cement. Therefore, the theoretical volume change ratio of water is obtained in advance by the hydration reaction expression, thus calculating the density of water being connected to cement.
