Title:
METHOD FOR MEASURING AXIAL FORCE OF BOLT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3686185
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance measuring accuracy by eliminating the influence of dispersion in a friction coefficient.
SOLUTION: An axial force-rotation angle graph showing the relationship between an axial force and the rotation angle of a bolt during loosening of the tightened bolt is calculated, and an axial force gradient is calculated from the axial force-rotation angel graph. Next, as to a bolt tightening part to be inspected, the bolt is loosened, and a return torque-rotation angle graph showing the relationship between return torque at that time and the rotation angle of the bolt is calculated. On the return torque-rotation angle graph, a point where the torque becomes zero is calculated through linear approximation, the rotation angle of the bolt from the start of rotation of the bolt to the time when the torque becomes zero is determined, and the determined rotation angle of the bolt is applied to the axial force gradient to calculate an axial force value at that time, thereby measuring the axial force of the bolt.
