Abstract:
PURPOSE: The hot junction of a thermocouple is colosely fitted to the surface of roll barrel or the surface of a workpiece to be meshed together with the roll, whereby the time or arc length of contact is simply and accurately measured from the changes in thermoelectromotive force and at the same time the estimation of the amount of bulging is made possible.
