Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a method which achieves accurate measurement of a positional deviation (angle of emission) at an outgoing end 3 of a core insertion hole of a connection into which the core of an optical fiber is inserted. CONSTITUTION:A highly viscous liquid 4 is emitted at an emission end 3 of a connector 1 through a core insertion hole 2 thereof 1 into which a core of an optical fiber is inserted and the liquid 4 emitted hits a receiving body 5 at the emission end 3 facing it being separated by a specified distance to measure an angler theta of emission of the core insertion hole 2 based on a deviation between the position 6 of the liquid hitting the receiving body 4 and the position of the emission end 3. As a pin gauge is not used, shortcomings of the conventional measuring method using the pin gauge are can be wiped out thereby enabling accurate measurement of the angle theta of emission (positional deviation of the emission end 3) of the core insertion hole 2.
