Title:
METHOD FOR MEASURING HYDROGEN CONCENTRATION AND HYDROGEN METER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04104037
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To measure the minute amount of the concentration of hydrogen which is present in an environment by assembling a Wheatstone bridge with hydrogen occluding metal as one sensor, and measuring the resistivity value of the circuit by using a potentiometer.

CONSTITUTION: A Wheatstone bridge circuit is formed of three resistors 2 whose resistances are known, an electric resistor 1 made of hydrogen occluding alloy and a potentiometer 3. The resistance value is measured under the state wherein the concentration of the hydrogen is zero. Then, the sensor of the electric resistor 1 is held in an environment wherein the hydrogen concentration is measured for a specified time. Thereafter, the resistance value is measured, and the hydrogen concentration in the environment is measured. Thus the hydrogen concentration in the environment can be measured by the simple method.
