Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of measuring inflation pressure of tires on a vehicle traveling along a traffic route.SOLUTION: A method comprises; measuring pressure of a tire (3) rolling on a pressure sensor (1) secured to a part of a rolling track (2) of the tire, and a period of time the tire (3) is rolling; establishing a curve representing distribution of the force exerted by the tire (3) as a function of time; and determining inflation pressure of the tire (3) using a computer and algorithmic programming and/or fuzzy logic. For the determination of inflation pressure, a model used takes into account two other parameters, a length of a tread of the tire (3) in contact with the sensor (1) and a shape of the established curve.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
