Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the induction of defecting molding including wrinkling and sinking due to measuring shortage by a method in which a volume type feeder is operated for a prescribed length of time, a thermoplastic material is supplied to an injection molding machine, the operation of screws of the feeder and the injection molding machine is stopped, and a prescribed amount of the molten material is accumulated in the storage part in a cylinder.
SOLUTION: A thermoplastic material A is supplied continuously from a volume type feeder 10 into an injection molding machine 1, after the elapse of a prescribed length of time, the rotation of the feeder 10 and the rotation and retraction of a screw 4 are stopped, and the plastication and measuring process of the material A is finished. By the rotation and retraction of the screw 4, the molten material A in an amount nearly equal to the volume a cavity 15a is secured in a storage part 2b. Next, after the closing and clamping of a mold 15, a nozzle 6 is contacted with the mold 15 to enter an injection process, and the molten material A is injected into the cavity 15a. A proper amount of the molten material A can be stored in the plastication and measuring process so that defects in the molding such as wrinkling and sinking are controlled to avoid the generation of nonconforming products.
