Abstract:
To measure the temperature of a tire simply with high accuracy under a load while rolling without stopping the tire.
The tire 22 with a hole 32 bored therein is rotated while it is pressed against a drum-like road surface 16. The internal temperature of the rotating tire 22 can be measured simply with high accuracy by measuring the temperature of a bottom part of the hole 32 in a noncontacting manner by means of an infrared thermoviewer 30.
