Title:
METHOD FOR MEASURING MEAN STAYING TIME OF VISITOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3930062
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve arithmetic precision when the mean staying time of visitors is calculated based on the entry time and exiting time of the visitors.
CONSTITUTION: A store entry sensor 1 outputs a detection signal when detecting a visitor entering the store and a store exiting sensor 2 outputs a detection signal when detecting a visitor exiting from the store. A store entry memory 11 cumulates the entry elapsed time from the measurement start time (service start time) of the visitor to the entry time. A store exiting memory 12 cumulates the exiting elapsed time from the measurement start time of exiting persons up to the current point to the exiting time. A store entry counter 13 counts entering visitors and a store exiting counter 14 counts exiting visitors. A main arithmetic circuit 8 adds the cumulative exiting elapsed time from the store exiting memory 11 and the value obtained by multiplying the numeral, obtained by subtracting the measurement start time from the current time, by the number of staying visitors at the present point of time, and subtracts the cumulative entry elapsed time from the store entry memory 11, and then divides the arithmetic value by the number of entering visitors to find the mean staying time.
