Title:
METHOD FOR MEASURING MOISTURE DISTRIBUTION IN THICKNESS DIRECTION OF WET PAPER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04194656
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To measure the moisture distribution of the whole of wet laminated paper by embedding a plurality of extremely fine electrodes in the wet paper in the thickness direction thereof to apply AC voltage to the respective electrodes through reference resistors and operating the moisture amount between the electrodes from the voltage across the reference resistors and the voltage across the electrodes.

CONSTITUTION: The current from an AC power supply 3 flows through a closed circuit constituted so that said current passes through a reference resistor 4 and the electrodes 2 embedded in wet laminated paper 1 to return to the power supply 3. A number of the closed circuits are provided so as to correspond to the number of points measuring the moisture distribution of the wet paper in the thickness direction thereof. Next, the voltage (V01 - V04) of the resistor 4 and the voltage (VR1 - VR4) across the electrodes are converted to AC by AC/DC converters 5 to be recorded on a data recorder 6. Subsequently, the outputs of the recorder 6 are converted to digital signals by an A/D converter 7 to be latched in a personal computer 8. The resistance R and moisture M between the electrodes are operated by the personal computer 8 and the operation results are outputted to a printer 9 and a plotter 10. By this method, the moisture distribution in a drying process of the whole of the wet laminated paper can be measured.
