Abstract:
PURPOSE: To rapidly measure the number of living bodies (organisms) existing in a specimen solution.
CONSTITUTION: A non-luminous substance having a maleimide functional group and capable of changing to a luminous substance by directly reacting with living bodies in a specimen is added to the organisms in the specimen and the produced luminous substance is irradiated with an excitation light and light emitted by the irradiation is counted to measure the number of living bodies in the specimen.
