METHOD FOR MEASURING NUMBER OF TUNNEL ENTERING VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly grasp the number of vehicles entering a tunnel by executing adjustment to permit a contamination density inside the tunnel obtained by the measurement result of the number of the vehicles entering into the tunnel to coincide with an actual measurement density and correcting the measurement result to coincide with the actual entering vehicle number.
SOLUTION: The initial speeds of the respective vehicles are selected from a fixed range with the average vehicle speed of a traffic quantity meter 2 as a center to be respectively set. The initial positions of the respective vehicles are set to the proper positions within the range where the vehicles reach by running from the spot of the traffic quantity meter 2 at speed corresponding to the average vehicle speed. When the measurement result of the number of the vehicles entering the tunnel is deviated from the actual entering vehicle number and the contamination density in the tunnel estimated by the measurement result is deviated from the actual measurement density of a contamination density distribution arithmetic part 11, the both densities are adjusted to be coincident and the change of the speed of the respective vehicles in terms of a time is corrected to coincide with the actual one. Then, the time change of the position of the respective vehicles is corrected based on the correction and the measurement result of the entering vehicles coincides with the number of actural entering vehicles.
