Title:
METHOD FOR MEASURING PRODUCED AMOUNT OF LEUKOCYTE ACTIVE OXYGEN AND OXIDATION STRESS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3258985
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method for measuring luminol sensitization emission using whole blood without requiring separation between a leukocyte and a red cell, and a measurement method for measuring the number of leukocytes being trapped by a capillary blood vessel floor and the passage time of the leukocyte with respect to the capillary blood cell floor, and for giving a contamination prevention capability by the leukocyte and a useful index for the oxidation stress.
SOLUTION: In a method for measuring the amount of leukocyte active oxygen produced and the oxidation stress, whole blood subjected to the anti- blood clogging treatment of a human or an animal is allowed to flow to a micro channel array that is formed by crimping a transparent substrate 12 to a substrate 11, where a fine groove array is machined onto a surface, the amount of emission from the entire leukocyte passing through the micro channel array is measured over a transparent substrate, and the amount of emission that has been measured is used as an index of the amount of active oxygen being produced and the oxidation stress of the leukocyte.
