To provide a quality management method, a quality management apparatus, a camber restriction method, a rolling apparatus and a trimming apparatus for strip-shaped objects whereby a quality of strip-shaped objects can be measured by using imaged images of the strip-shaped objects.
The steel strip 1 transferred by a roller 2 is imaged by television cameras 3a and 3b. A distance from each of a plurality of points of a side edge of the steel strip 1 shown in the obtained imaged image to a reference line set in a longitudinal direction of the steel strip 1 is measured. A camber, a meandering amount and a width of the steel strip 1 are calculated on the basis of the distances. A roll gap when the steel strip is rolled and the measuring of the steel strip 1 when trimmed are controlled on the basis of the camber and the measuring amount, so that generation of the camber is restricted.
