Abstract:
To measure the specific surface area of a sintered ore without changing the size of the sintered ore to be put in a shaft furnace.SOLUTION: A method for measuring the specific surface area of a sintered ore on the basis of a gas absorption method, uses a sintered ore with a diameter of at least 10 nm and uses a krypton gas for a gas absorption method. The particles of the sintered ore are contained in a measurement cell and the krypton gas can be supplied to the cell. The specific surface area of the sintered ore can be determined on the basis of the adsorption isotherm when the relative pressure P/P0 is in the range of 0.10-0.25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
