PURPOSE: To measure a trace component without depositing any fibrin by allowing coexistence of the trace component and a substance exhibiting anticoagulant function in an organic sample containing fibrinogen
CONSTITUTION: A substance exhibiting anticoagulant function includes an anticoagulant, e.g. heparin or EDAT, and a substance exhibiting coagulation blocking function, e.g. antitropine III, and the heparin is preferably employed because the anticoagulant function does not deteriorate even if bivalent metal ions are present in the measuring system. Consequently, an antibody for a substance wherein the immunogenic substance in an organic sample containing fibrinogen is labeled by alkaline phosphotase or a substance labeled by the alkaline phosphatase is employed and the trace component is measured while blocking deposition of fibrin through coexistence of heparin. This method is effective for all measuring methods where the deposition of fibrin has effect on the measurements and especially effective for the immunoassay of heterogeneous system, i.e., sandwich method or competitive method.
