Abstract:
To provide a method of measuring the visco-elasticity of a paving material including aggregate and of easily evaluating the track resistance thereof.
In this method of measuring the visco-elasticity of a paving material containing asphalt and aggregate, the paving material is put through a sieve of 2 mm or smaller after being heated. The paving material is preferably heated at 100-140°C for 15-45 minutes. The storage modulus of elasticity G' of the paving material obtained after put through the sieve of 2 mm or smaller is preferably measured at 60°C under the conditions of 10 Hz and a shearing strain of 1.0%.
