Abstract:

To provide a melting method of metallic raw material which can efficiently recover thermal energy in combustion exhaust gas of an oxygen burner and can greatly improve the thermal efficiency.

At the time of executing the melting treatment of the metallic raw material, the combustion exhaust gas discharged from a preheating part 4 of a melting furnace 1 is introduced into a preheating vessel 9 charged with the raw material for the next melting treatment, and the raw material for the next melting treatment is preheated. After completing the melting treatment after tapping the molten metal from the melting part 3, the raw material for the next melting treatment preheated in the preheating vessel 9 is charged into the melting furnace 1 from the preheating part 4 and also, the raw material for the 3rd melting treatment is charged into the preheating vessel 9.
