PURPOSE: To obtain a miniaturized simple reinforcing member while improving workability, by conducting electricity to an electric resistance body united to reinforcing member and melting adhesive material layers, and thus fixing the connection part of an optical fiber.
CONSTITUTION: An optical fiber connection part 3 is sandwiched between the 1st and 2nd members, which are closed together; and the 1st and 2nd members are placed in a metallic mold 6 and a current I is flowed from a power source 7 to electric resistance bodies 1A and 1B. The generated heat melts the hot- melt adhesive material layers 2A and 2B to form an adhesive layer 2 filling the gap between the members and optical fiber connection part 3, and the conduction of electricity is stopped; and the molten adhesive layer 2 is cooled and while the optical fiber connction part 3 is held in the center, the upper and lower hot-melt adhesive material layers 2A and 2B and connection part 3 are united together, thus the reinforcement on the cooling process is completed.
