Abstract:

To efficiently metallize nucleic acid by using metal nanoparticles manufactured in vitro (ex-situ).

The method for metallizing the nucleic acid comprises steps of first manufacturing the solution of composite particles (THP-Au particles) of tris(hydroxymethyl)-phosphine (THP) and gold, then dropping the THP-Au particle solution on the solidified substrate of the nucleic acid, and thereby bonding the THP-Au particles to the nucleic acid. The method further comprises steps of electroless-plating the composite of the THP-Au particles and the nucleic acid, and thereby controlling the size of a gold nanoparticle.
