To increase the attaching strength of a part and to prevent release inferiority, in a method and a mold for molding a sound absorbing interior base material by subjecting a nonwoven fabric base material and a backing nonwoven fabric to integral press molding through a film-like hot-melt adhesive, by sufficiently ensuring the adhesive strength of both nonwoven fabrics at the attaching part of the peripheral edge part of the base material and a separate part.
A nonwoven fabric base material and a backing nonwoven fabric fitted with a hot-melt adhesive are respectively subjected to heating and softening treatment and subjected to press molding by upper and lower molds 31, 32 for cold press molding of a desired mold surface and, at this time, a heating block 41 having a heater 43 and a sensor 44 built therein is embedded in the predetermined area of a press upper mold 32 to certainly melt the pripheral edge part of a roof lift, the attaching part of the bracket and the hot melt adhesive in a dual lock part and the adhesive strength of the nonwoven fabric base material and the backing nonwoven fabric is increased.
