PURPOSE: To make mold clamping mechanism in a core molding device a simple structure by preventing the deviation in a position of metallic molds caused by gravity.
CONSTITUTION: In a core molding method for molding the sand core by filling molding sand into a cavity of the metallic molds 14, 16 from the upper part of the clamped metallic molds 14, 16, a process for mold clamping from the upper and the lower directions with mold clamping mechanism 13 for metallic molds 14, 16 and a process for positioning the metallic molds 14, 16 so that the molding sand blowing hole in the metallic molds 14, 16 becomes upward by removing the clamping metallic molds 14, 16 from a mold clamping mechanism 13 and singly turning, are provided. Therefor, the deviation in the position of the metallic molds caused by the gravity is not caused unlike the conventional method where the molds are clamped from side direction.
