Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform the process from starting to molding of an optical element in a short period of time and improve the workability during the molding by applying a specific vibratory energy on the upper and lower punches for working the optical element. CONSTITUTION:By fixing the workpiece 8 of the optical element by a fixing member 9, the workpiece 8 is vibrated in contact with each molding surface of the upper and lower punches 6, 7 while being vibrated. After the workpiece 8 produces a thermosoftness by the vibratory motion, each molding surface of the upper and lower punches 6, 7 is compressed to the workpiece 8 so as to transcribe the optical element surface of a die. Following this, at the time when the upper and lower punches 6, 7 are moved upwards or downwards, they are moved up and down in adjusting the vibratory energy according to the shape and size of the optical element. The molding part is punched, while being vibrated, from the workpiece 8; therefore, an excellent optical element can be obtained.
