Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding method in which an aluminum alloy plate can be accurately and efficiently molded into a square battery case having high flatness.SOLUTION: By applying drawing work to a raw material aluminum alloy plate, a slant wall surface 2f is molded into a first square cylindrical body 2 partially formed over four sides of a side wall part 2a. While leaving a bottom 2d of this first square cylindrical body 2 as the bottom of a square battery case, subsequent re-drawing work and finishing work are performed to mold the square battery case into a final shape such that the plate thickness of the side wall part is equal to or less than 60% of the plate thickness of an aluminum alloy plate.
