PURPOSE: To highly manage a gravure printing by displaying an image of a printing sample on a left half of a display, displaying an image of a web on a right half, extracting desired positions of both the displayed images, calculating and displaying dense and pale gradation deviation values which are subjected to color separation to R, G and B.
CONSTITUTION: A desired position of a printing sample (f) is photographed, an image is displayed on a left half 3a of a monitor display 3, separated image data of the R, G and B are stored in printing sample image memories 4, 5, 6, a printing position desired to be sampled of a web F is photographed, an image of the same size is displayed on a right half 3b, separated image data of the R, G and B are stored in printing sample image memories 7, 8, 9. A point of the half 3b to be a color completely coincident with the point of the left half 3a of the display 3 are area designated by a controller 21. And, a deviation value of the dense and pale gradation degree of the designated point in the extracted image for the dense and pale gradation degree of the point of the printing sample is calculated, displayed in a window 3c. In the case of large, a buzzer 46 is rung to light an alarm lamp 47.
