Abstract:
To provide a method for monitoring incontinence.SOLUTION: A method for monitoring incontinence of a user comprises the steps of:using a urine detection circuit 410 which is provided in an absorbent article and exhibits a changed electric nature when being exposed to urine to determine whether or not a user has discharged urine into the absorbent article; using a measurement circuit 420 for performing a measurement of a bladder to in order determine a parameter which varies according to a saturation level of the bladder; using a sensor attached to the user to determine a posture and/or motion of the user; and in response to determination that the user has discharged urine into the absorbent article, recording data indicating the parameter, an estimated motion and/or posture of the user based on the posture and/or motion determined by the sensor, and an estimation of a urine volume discharged onto the urine detection circuit, by a processing circuit 430.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
