To provide a method of mounting a car door detector which does not continuously stop operation of a car for a long period of time and can secure convenience of users of an elevator.
In the car door detector mounting method, first, a car door sensor 21 of the car door detector 20 is mounted beside a hanger rail 14 for slidably holding a car hanger 12. Next, a car door detection plate 23 of the car door detector 20 is mounted to a position corresponding to the car door sensor 21 and beside the car hanger 12. Next, the operation of the elevator car 2 is carried out. Then, the operation of the car 2 is stopped, an established wiring 11 connected between a cam switch 8 of a door cam device 20 and a control device 10 is removed, and a new wiring 24 is connected between the car door sensor 21 and the control device 10.
