To provide a method of mounting a motion control device having different braking characteristics depending on the rotating direction of a pressing member, in common to either a right door or a left door.
In the coincident state of a shaft 20 of the motion control device with the rotation center C of the door, the shaft 20 is connected to either one of a vehicle body B and the door through a first arm 101, and a casing 10 of the motion control device is connected to the other of the vehicle body B and the door through a second arm 102. The motion control device comprises a first pressing member rotated within the casing together with the shaft to press a viscous liquid when the casing is fixed and the shaft is rotated, a second pressing member rotated within the casing together with the casing to press the viscous liquid when the shaft is fixed and the casing is rotated, and a characteristic adjusting means for changing the braking characteristics depending on the rotating directions of the first and second pressing members.
