Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cancel a trouble at the time of sharing the peripheral unit of a printer or the like among plural users and to improve the work efficiency of the users by providing function of requesting or returning KEY information through a network in plural electronic units such as computers.
SOLUTION: KEY information that the printer 3 uses for discrimination at the time of starting/stopping is issued on the network 4. When the printer 3 is not started, the printer 3 is started in linking with a first host 1 when the request of KEY information from the first host 1 which is started at first is given. When KEY information is returned from the host which stops last between the first and second hosts 1 and 2 while the printer 3 is started, the printer 3 is stopped in linking with the stopped host. Thus, the trouble at the time of sharing the printer 3 among the plural users can be dissolved and the work efficiency of the users can be improved.
