Title:
METHOD FOR OBSERVING FLUORESCENT SUBSTANCE USING LIGHT- EMITTING DIODE AS LIGHT SOURCE AND APPARATUS FOR IRRADIATION EXCITING LIGHT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3482440
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a method for observing a fluorescent substance using a light-emitting diode as a light source being supposed to have a wide use in the whole biotechnological studies such as early selection of gene transfer individual, confirmation of expression characteristics of new gene, etc., an apparatus for irradiating an exciting light.
SOLUTION: (1) This method for observing a fluorescent substance uses a light-emitting diode as a light source for excitation of a living cell into which a gene encoding a protein emitting a fluorescence by irradiation with an exciting light is transferred. (2) This method for recognizing a gene transfer living cell uses a light-emitting diode as a light source for excitation of the living cell. (3) This method for verifying a transferred gene expression characteristics in the living cell uses a light-emitting diode as a light source for excitation of the living cell. (4) This method for verifying a transferred gene expression characteristics in a gene transfer individual uses a light-emitting diode as a light source for excitation of a gene transfer individual into which a gene encoding a protein emitting a fluorescence by irradiation with an exciting light is transferred. (5) This apparatus uses one or more elements of light-emitting diodes as a light source 1 for excitation of a substance emitting fluorescence by irradiation with an exciting light 2.
