Title:
METHOD FOR OBTAINING DEPOSIT OF YELLOW GOLD ALLOY BY ELECTROPLATING WITHOUT USING TOXIC METAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011084815
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a method for depositing a thick layer of a yellow gold alloy free of toxic metals.

The method is for depositing the gold alloy onto an electrode through electroplating, provided that the electrode is immersed in a bath containing an alkaline gold cyanide, metallic gold in the form of an organometallic compound, a wetting agent, a metal ion sequestering agent and a free cyanide. The bath contains copper in the form of a double cyanide of copper and potassium and silver in the form of a cyanide and enables deposition of the yellow gold alloy that shines like a mirror. The invention is related to the area of electrodeposition.
