Abstract:
To provide a method for efficiently obtaining a drug metabolite by which the produced drug metabolite can be efficiently collected.
This method for producing the drug metabolite by a microorganism having drug-metabolizing ability, and obtaining the produced drug metabolite comprises a step for culturing the microorganism while keeping contact of the microorganism having the drug-metabolizing ability with a testing drug which may be the substrate for a drug-metabolizing enzyme in a liquid medium, and a step for collecting the drug metabolite produced in the culturing step from the liquid medium by the extraction with a solvent in the presence of a saturated amount of sodium chloride.
