Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain starch and vegetable juice from root vegetables with high economic efficiency and low pollution. CONSTITUTION: Root vegetables are mashed or chopped and the starch isolated by this treatment is separated from the vegetable juice. This separation is performed through three stages of separating processes at least of the 1st stage for discharging the mashed root vegetables and the 2nd stage for supplying suspension separated on the 1st stage, supplying fibers and the starch on one hand, mainly supplying the starch and the suspension in the vegetable juice on the other hand and supplying one part of cleaning liquid discharged from the 3rd stage. Further, on the 3rd stage, the starch and the suspension coming from the 2nd stage are added into the clean liquid and besides, the 2nd stage is a replacing stage as well for replacing the components of vegetable juice in the added suspension mainly with the cleaning liquid discharged from the 3rd stage.
