Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the opening efficiency independent of the length of an opening roller by pressing two opening rollers into the upper face of a fiber bale to be opened at different penetration depths.

CONSTITUTION: A fiber bale to be opened is placed in front of an opening mechanism 5 for opening an inclined bale row 4 and two opening rollers 6a, 6b are pressed into the upper surface of the fiber bale at different penetration depths T1, T2. The fiber bale is opened over the whole depth to obtain finer fiber flocks.
