PURPOSE: To operate a blast furnace stably and efficiently by forecasting a charge distribution by which the temp. at the central part is reduced from the temp. distribution of the top of the furnace in the radial direction and the angle of deposition at the central part of the furnace and by taking measures to meet the situation at once.
CONSTITUTION: The temp. distribution of the top of a blast furnace in the radial direction is measured with fixed probes, and the angle of deposition at the central part of the furnace is measured with a profile gauge. When ΔT and θc shown as measured values of day-by-day changes in the temp. distribution and the angle of deposition satisfy continuously ΔT<200°C and θC<10°, conditions in the furnace are regulated so as to keep ΔT at ≥200°C and θC at ≥10° by controlling a charge system for the furnace. ΔT is the difference between the temp. TC at the central part and the temp. T0.5 at a position 0.5 radius away from the center in any direction, and θC is the angle (°) of deposition of charge in the range from the center to a position 0.3 radius away from the center in any direction.
