Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make positions around a melting zone in a blast furnace uniform by measuring positional deflection and hot flow ratio in the peripheral part of the melting zone at plural measuring positions arranged at intervals in the circumferential direction of the furnace and by changing the hot flow ratio on the basis of both the measured values.

CONSTITUTION: Pressure gauges are placed at plural measuring positions along the circumference of a blast furnace, and the internal pressure of the furnace is measured at plural points close to the inner wall of the furnace in the circumferential and longitudinal directions of the furnace. Positional deflection and hot flow ratio in the peripheral part of a melting zone are measured on the basis of the measured values. When the positional deflection and the hot flow ratio are within prescribed ranges, the hot flow ratio is changed to reduce positional deflection in the melting zone.
