To provide a technology which makes it possible for a business such as a state continually operate a carbon dioxide separation recovery system using steelworks equipment.
In a method for operating the carbon dioxide separation recovery system using the steelworks equipment, the steelworks equipment 100 supplies by-product gas produced in the course of iron manufacture to first business side equipment 200 installed incidentally to the equipment 100 through a first pipeline 301 and waste heat of a prescribed temperature or below produced in the course of iron manufacture to the equipment 200 through a heat transporting pipeline 502. The equipment 200 separates/recovers carbon dioxide from the by-product gas by using the supplied waste heat. A first supply measuring instrument 501 and a second supply measuring instrument 502 measure the amounts of the by-product gas and the waste heat to be supplied. A computer 510 which received these measurement data charges a running cost to the first business side.
