Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating method with which the unit requirement of fuel is reduced and the uniformity of heating can be improved by disposing heat-storage type burners in a continuous-type heating furnace.
SOLUTION: One pair of the heat-storage type burners are disposed at the upper side of a pass-line of a material to be heated, and in the vertically lower part, one pair of the heat-storage type burners are disposed at the lower side of the pass-line. Then, the temperature difference between the upper side and the lower side of the pass-line on the surfaces formed with these four pieces of heat-storage type burners, is compared with a threshold, and in the case the temperature difference exceeds the threshold, the heat-storage type burner at higher temperature side, is stopped.
