Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To advantageously operate an internal combustion engine in an internal combustion engine operating method.SOLUTION: In a method for operating an internal combustion engine according to the present invention, an internal combustion engine has an intake channel (17) which opens via a first valve (24) into a crankcase (13) of the internal combustion engine (4). The first valve (24) opens at a first frequency (f). The internal combustion engine (4) has a second valve (39), which controls the quantity of fuel supplied into the intake channel (17). The quantity of fuel is controlled by controlling the time intervals (57, 58) during which the second valve (39) is open during each engine cycle (x). A control mechanism (28) is provided to control the quantity of fuel supplied. In a first operating state, the second valve (39) is opened at a second frequency (f,f,f) which is coordinated with the first frequency (f). In a second operating state, the second valve (39) is opened independently of the first frequency (f).
