To operate in various operation modes a machine for processing printing-paper sheet, which can process the printing-paper sheet with an extremely high bending rigidity within the machine and is equipped with a paper sheet transfer drum for easy maintenance.
The drum mantle shells 19, 20 are kept in a state being fixed to the paper sheet transfer drum 11 in the outside position of the drum at a time of the first operation mode while in the inside position at a time of the second operation mode. The drum mantle shells 19, 20 are removed from the paper sheet transfer drum 11 in replacing the drum equipment to be executed prior to the start of the third operation mode, and the paper sheet transfer drum 11 is rotated without the drum mantle shells 19, 20 at a time of the third operation mode.
