Abstract:
To provide a spinning machine allowing preferable fast lot change at individual workstations in an open-end rotor spinning machine, and to provide a method for operating the spinning machine.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a method for operating a semi-automatic or fully automatic cross-wound package-manufacturing spinning machine 1 that includes an open-end rotor spinning machine, the cross-wound package-manufacturing spinning machine having a plurality of identical, adjacently arranged, and at least partially autonomous workstations 2. Each of the workstations has: a spinning device 3 for manufacturing a thread 6; and a winding device 4 including a package holder for winding the thread 6 onto a cross-wound package 10. Once an end of a lot is reached, the workstation is configured to be stopped. A requirement for executing at least one manual service operation is displayed at the workstation that has reached the end of the lot. The cross-wound package-manufacturing spinning machine has a control device and a display element 12 for implementing the method.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
