Abstract:

To provide a method for operating a working device of a winding machine capable of rewinding at a winding speed as constant as possible.SOLUTION: In a method for operating a working device (2) of a winding machine in which a yarn (3) is rewound from a bobbin (22) onto a winding cylinder, a balloon restricting device (18) is provided with balloon restricting devices (23, 26) having yarn guiding surfaces (24, 27), respectively, a first portion of the yarn on a spinning cylinder (4) is rewound onto the winding cylinder, and a yarn pull-out force of the yarn or a measurement variable representing the yarn pull-out force is captured. When an increase in the yarn pull-out force is detected, the balloon restricting device shifts from a resting position to a working position, and either a second portion of the yarn is rewound onto a rear winding cylinder or distances (a1, a2) of the yarn guiding surfaces of the balloon restricting device from an axis of rotation (25) of the spinning cylinder are reduced and the second portion of the yarn existing on the spinning cylinder is then rewound onto the rear winding cylinder, or a second balloon restricting device (26) shifts from the resting position to the working position.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
