PURPOSE: To obtain a method for package dyeing in which a package-dyed yarn package directly usable as a feed package in a knitting or a weaving step without rewinding the yarn can be produced and the yarn package.

CONSTITUTION: The method for package dyeing is to treat a package-dyed yarn package in a bath liquid at a higher temperature (g1) than the dyeing temperature (c1) without discharging a wash liquid after dyeing the yarn package. The resultant package-dyed yarn package has ≤0.45 void ratio in the case of multifilament yarn.
