To provide a small packaging body for a foamed plastic sheet and a method for packaging by which both packaging and opening are easy.

A article (2) to be packaged is put into a bottomed cylindrical packaging bag (1) manufactured of a plastic film, and an opening part (3) of the bag is pressed to apply a pressure-sensitive adhesive tape (5), and the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape makes approximately a round around the opening part of the pressed bag but both ends are made under a condition where the both ends are opened in a V-shape, and a weak release paper (6) is applied to the opening part and the pressure-sensitive adhesive tape and the weak release paper are cut at an appropriate lengths.
