To provide a method for packaging an inorganic fiber assembly which is a method for packaging a sheet-like inorganic fiber assembly and can package it into a compact dimension without breaking the fibers, and to provide a packaged article of the inorganic fiber assembly compression-packaged under a condition without breakage of the fibers.
In the method for packaging the inorganic fiber assembly, a laminated article (1A) is constituted by laminating the sheet-like inorganic fiber assemblies (1), and after the laminated article (1A) is stored in a bag (2) made of a film, the laminated article (1A) is compressed by uniformly pressing the whole outer face intersecting at right angles to the laminating direction of the laminated article (1A) in the laminating direction. Then, under the compressed condition, the whole outer face of the laminated article (1A) is restrained with a restraining material (3) from the outside of the bag (2).
