To provide a method for packaging a sheet-like inorganic fiber complex capable of packaging fibers into a compact size without damaging the fiber and to provide a packaged item of inorganic fiber complex compressed and packaged under a state of no damage to the fiber.

This method for packaging an inorganic fiber complex is carried out such that some sheet-like inorganic fiber complex (1) are laminated to constitute a laminated item (1A), the laminated item (1A) is stored in a film bag (2), thereafter an entire outer surface crossing at a right angle with a laminating direction of the laminated item (1A) is uniformly compressed in a laminating direction to compress the laminated item (1A). Then, the entire outer surface of the laminated item (1A) is restricted from outside the bag (2) with a restricting material (3) while being compressed.
