To smoothly pass an optical fiber for pneumatic conveyance through a long pneumatic carrier pipe by winding a conductive protection film around the optical fiber wound around a bobbin.
In the state in which the optical fiber 2 for pneumatic conveyance is wound around the bobbin 1, the conductive protection film 3 is wound around it. As the conductive protection film 3, a film formed by mixing conductor such as aluminum or carbon or an antistatic agent with polymer resin such as vinyl chloride or aluminum foil is usable. The use of a conductive protection film 3 like this prevents the conductive protection film 3 from being stained with dirt sticking on its surface or charged electrostatically since the protection film 3 is conductive, even when the optical fiber 2 for pneumatic conveyance and protection film 3 are rubbed against each other, that the optical fiber 2 for pneumatic conveyance can smoothly be run through the pneumatic carrier pipe.
